We invest in commercial real estate located in the metropolitan areas of the western United States. We focus on areas exhibiting positive demographic characteristics and trends. We make informed investment decisions based upon in-depth market analysis and our local knowledge. We purchase properties and also acquire commercial mortgage debt positions. Since 2009, we have been involved in the handling of in excess of $1.5 billion in distressed properties.

We carefully manage our investment portfolios, thereby creating investor value. We have proficiency with and focus upon office, retail and residential properties. Our approach hedges risk while capturing the upside potential across multiple markets and asset types. We improve properties through hands-on attentive management. We have an excellent record of transaction execution. We typically hold investments for three-to-five years.

We always align our interests with our investors and partners by putting our own capital at risk alongside our investors. Once an investment is identified, we move swiftly.

+ OUR INVESTMENT APPROACH

We provide growth capital for companies with proven market momentum and we help entrepreneurs build businesses that continue to evolve and scale. We seek to allocate between $50 to $250 thousand in seed or initial capital. We seek to allocate between $1 to $5 million of equity in companies generating $5-50 million in revenues. On occasion, we finance smaller or larger transactions.

We generate returns primarily though the growth of companies in which we invest. We target companies that compete in rapidly growing, yet largely underpenetrated industries. We utilize modest or no debt in financing our acquisitions to ensure that our portfolio companies have the flexibility to grow and compete in fast-growing industries.

The characteristics that we look for most in potential investments is identifying entrepreneurs who are passionate about their company and skilled at navigating complex challenges to accelerate growth.
